Japanese digital art collective TeamLab is bringing a permanent exhibition space to California, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The group, known for immersive, technology-driven installations that blend light, sound and interactive design, already operates popular venues in Tokyo and other cities. The California location would give US audiences a dedicated, year-round home for its large-scale digital artworks.
Why now: TeamLab's immersive exhibitions draw huge crowds, so news of a permanent US venue is generating attention among art and entertainment audiences.
