Original: Rape as a Tool of Empire: Cornell, Palestine, and the Silence of Western Feminists https:// fed.brid.gy/r/https://www.pr
A commentary published on Pressenza argues that sexual violence is being used as an instrument of imperial power, focusing on Cornell University's ties to the situation in Palestine. It criticises Western feminist movements for what it calls their silence on the issue. The piece reflects ongoing debate over how human rights organisations and feminist groups respond to allegations of abuse in the conflict.
Why now: It feeds into the ongoing controversy over institutional complicity and selective feminist outrage regarding Palestine.
