Archive of Our Own hit by major outage

Original: archive of our own

Archive of Our Own (AO3), the largest non-profit fanfiction archive, is suffering a major outage that could last two weeks or longer, leaving readers and writers without access to millions of fan works. CNET reports the disruption may be tied to denial-of-service attacks. Users are venting and sharing updates as the site's team works to restore access.

Why now: The popular fanfiction site has gone down, disrupting a large and vocal community of readers and writers.
