Dock and port workers across Europe are holding a day of action on Friday, framed by socialist groups as a step towards preparing a European general strike amid what they describe as extraordinary growth in class struggle. The Socialist Equality Parties in Europe say they welcome and support the international action by port workers, linking the protests to broader labour mobilisation across the continent.

Why now: Coordinated industrial action by European port workers and calls for a wider general strike are drawing attention amid rising labour unrest.
