Archive of Our Own outage leaves fanfiction readers in limbo

Original: archive of our own

Archive of Our Own, the major nonprofit fanfiction platform, is facing an outage that could last up to a month, according to Mashable. Fanfiction readers and writers are reacting with frustration as the site, home to millions of fan works, remains inaccessible. The volunteer-run Archive of Our Own is one of the largest repositories of user-created fiction online.

Why now: An extended outage of a widely used fanfiction platform is disrupting a large, active community.
