Post invokes Wordsworth to call for Lindsey Graham
Original: @ jfmezei Lindsey Graham! thou shouldst be living at this hour: the USA hath need of thee... # uspol
A political commentator has invoked a famous Wordsworth line — 'Milton! thou shouldst be living at this hour' — reworked to call for Senator Lindsey Graham, saying the United States has need of him. The remark, tagged with US politics hashtags, uses the poetic appeal to suggest the country requires a figure like the South Carolina senator at the current political moment, echoing the Romantic poet's lament for principled leadership.
Why now: The comment plays on nostalgia for a political leader at a time of perceived crisis in American politics
