16colo.rs archive preserves ANSI and ASCII art
Original: 16colo.rs – ANSI/ASCII art archive
16colo.rs, a digital archive dedicated to ANSI and ASCII text art, is drawing attention as a curated collection of a largely forgotten computer art form. The site preserves artwork made with text characters, much of it originating from the bulletin board system era, and offers browsing by palette, artist and year. Enthusiasts are welcoming the resource as a way to keep retro computing art accessible and searchable rather than scattered across old archives.
Why now: Nostalgia for retro computing and BBS-era art, plus the appeal of a well-organised niche archive, is driving interest.
Rank over time, top of the chart is #1. 21 snapshots from 23 h ago to 1 h ago.
