Jensen Huang, chief executive of US chipmaker Nvidia, was reportedly the target of a Chinese spy, according to a Guardian report. The claim lands amid continuing US-China tensions over semiconductors and export controls on advanced AI chips, a sector where Nvidia sits at the center. Details about the alleged spying operation and any response from Nvidia or US officials remain limited.
Why now: Ongoing US-China tech rivalry and Nvidia's central role in the AI chip race make any espionage allegation against its CEO highly newsworthy.
