China's secret spaceplane tracked in low-Earth orbit

Original: space

China's reusable spaceplane, whose missions and payloads remain classified, is being openly tracked by amateur observers and analysts despite efforts at secrecy. Reporting notes the vehicle cannot hide in low-Earth orbit, with watchers cataloging its maneuvers and orbital changes. Attention is focused on what the craft is carrying and how it compares with the US Space Force's X-37B.

Why now: Renewed tracking of China's classified spaceplane has drawn attention to the growing secrecy and competition in military space programs.
