Original: Iowa football tumbles in latest USA TODAY Sports 1-138 re-rank
Iowa's football team has dropped noticeably in the latest USA TODAY Sports re-ranking of all 138 major college football programs. The re-rank, which orders every FBS team, moved the Hawkeyes well down from their previous position. The fall follows renewed scrutiny of the program's offensive struggles and inconsistent performances, with fans and college football commentators debating whether the drop reflects the team's form or the ranking methodology itself.
