Burnham denies confusion over his EU position

Original: Burnham insists 'no confusion at all' over his position on the EU

Andy Burnham has insisted there is 'no confusion at all' over his stance on the EU, pushing back against suggestions that his position on Britain's relationship with Europe is inconsistent or unclear. The Greater Manchester mayor's comments come as debate continues within British politics over future EU ties and what leading Labour figures really stand for on the issue.

Why now: Burnham is seen as a potential future Labour leader, so any ambiguity over his EU stance draws scrutiny
