Writer Praises Aphids' Reproduction Over Humans' In Satirical Essay

Original: I Am Deeply Offended By Human Reproduction And I Think Aphids Have The Better System

A satirical biology essay argues that human reproduction is messy, risky and overrated, holding up aphids as the superior model. Aphids can reproduce without mating through parthenogenesis, giving birth to live clones that are already pregnant. The humorous piece is resonating with readers who enjoy its mix of real zoology facts and exaggerated complaints about the trials of human reproduction.

Why now: Its blend of genuine biology trivia and comedy about the awkwardness of human reproduction makes it highly shareable.
