Netherlands pulls out of Eurovision 2027 in boycott
Original: netherlands eurovision boycott 2027
The Netherlands has announced it will not take part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, reversing an earlier position and deepening what is being described as a crisis for the competition. The withdrawal, reported by Euronews, makes the Dutch broadcaster one of the first confirmed absentees for the 2027 edition, raising questions about how many other countries may follow and what the contest will look like without them.
Why now: The Dutch withdrawal marks a major escalation in an ongoing dispute over Eurovision, prompting debate about further boycotts and the contest's future.
