Italian town issues rules after wolf pack sightings

Original: branco di lupi

A wolf pack is the focus of attention in Italy after a local municipality issued an ordinance laying out a ten-point code of conduct for residents on how to behave around wolves. The decalogo, reported by Il Resto del Carlino, details precautions such as not approaching the animals and securing pets and livestock, as encounters between wolves and communities grow more common.

Why now: Growing wolf sightings near inhabited areas are prompting local authorities to publish official safety guidelines, drawing public interest.
