Fire hits Azot chemical plant in Tula region after drone attack
Original: В Тульской области загорелся химзавод "Азот" после атаки дронов Это предприятие является одним из крупнейших производите
The Azot chemical plant in Russia's Tula region caught fire following a drone attack. The facility is one of the largest producers of nitrogen fertilizers in Russia and supplies nitric acid to the Sverdlov plant in Dzerzhinsk, which manufactures explosives. The strike is therefore being discussed in the context of its impact on Russia's military-industrial supply chain.
Why now: The plant supplies nitric acid to a factory producing explosives, so the strike is seen as a hit on Russia's war production.
