Drone attacks were reported over the Tula region of Russia, with the target identified preliminarily as the Novomoskovsk Azot chemical plant, said to be the largest of its kind in the country. A metallurgical plant in Lipetsk was also reported to be under attack. Russian commentators described counting drones in the sky over Novomoskovsk.
Why now: Reports of Ukrainian drone strikes on Russia's largest chemical plant would mark a significant escalation in attacks on Russian industrial infrastructure.
