Original: Knicks still undecided on White House visit after NBA championship win https://www. nytimes.com/athletic/7642907/2 026/0
The New York Knicks have won the NBA championship but have not yet said whether they will make the traditional champions' visit to the White House. Coach Mike Brown was noncommittal when asked about the trip, leaving open whether the team will take part in the custom. The question of whether championship teams visit the White House has often been politically charged, drawing attention beyond sports.
Why now: Championship White House visits have become politically sensitive, so the Knicks' hesitation is drawing attention.
