Commenters are mocking Donald Trump, likening him to the 'Mad King' Canute ordering the incoming tide to stop. The jibe frames the president as powerless against forces beyond his control, and it is spreading on social media alongside labels tying the post to Trump and to AI-generated content. Reactions are largely derisive, with users sharing the comparison as a way of ridiculing his political stance.
Why now: Trump remains a dominant and divisive figure, and satirical comparisons of him are currently drawing wide engagement.
