Silicon Valley parents push to keep tech out of schools
Original: Silicon Valley parents want the tech they help build out of their childrens’ schools https://www. theguardian.com/us-new
Parents working in Silicon Valley's tech industry are calling for the technology they help build to be removed from their children's classrooms, according to a Guardian report. The piece examines growing unease among tech workers themselves about screens, devices and educational software in schools, highlighting an irony: those closest to the industry are often the most determined to limit their own children's exposure to it.
Why now: The irony of tech insiders rejecting technology for their own children strikes a chord amid wider anxiety about screens and children.
