Abandoned scrap moped rusting at BVG Jelbi station in Berlin
Original: bvg
An old moped has been left parked at a Berlin station and is reportedly rusting away at a Jelbi station run by Berlin's transport authority BVG. The Berliner Morgenpost reports that the vehicle has clearly been abandoned for some time, raising questions about how discarded shared-mobility vehicles are being managed at BVG's Jelbi hubs, where rental scooters, bikes and mopeds are normally stationed.
Why now: The sight of a decaying abandoned moped at a public transport hub highlights growing frustrations with shared mobility clutter and upkeep in Berlin.
