Hewlett-Packard oscillators behind Disney's Fantasia success

Original: (33/33) ... succès du # film Fantasia de Walt Disney # Hollywood grâce aux oscillateurs de précision produits par Hewlet

A historical note is recirculating linking the success of Walt Disney's 1940 animated classic Fantasia to precision oscillators produced by Hewlett-Packard, founded in 1939 by Bill Hewlett and David Packard. The HP Model 200B oscillator was famously used in the film's groundbreaking multi-channel Fantasound audio system. The claim is being shared alongside references to Woody Guthrie's Dust Bowl Ballads and 1940 cultural history.

Why now: The little-known connection between Hewlett-Packard's first product and Disney's Fantasia is being rediscovered and shared as a piece of tech and film history.
