Ukraine's General Staff reports 185 combat engagements along the front line over the past day, with the fiercest fighting in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors of the Donetsk region. Pokrovsk saw the highest number of Russian attacks as Moscow continues pressing its offensive in eastern Ukraine, according to the daily frontline update.
Why now: Russia's sustained offensive pressure on Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka keeps the intensity of daily fighting in eastern Ukraine a focus of attention.
