Farage denies Reform would order troops to shoot small boats
Original: Farage denies Reform would let troops shoot small boats after Jenrick's 'lethal force' claim https://www.theguardian.com
Nigel Farage has rejected suggestions that a Reform UK government would authorise troops to fire on migrant crossings, after Robert Jenrick said the party would allow the use of lethal force against small boats in the Channel. The comments have sparked a fierce row within British politics over immigration and the military's role in border enforcement.
Why now: A senior Reform figure's claim about lethal force against migrant boats has prompted a public denial and reignited debate over the party's immigration policy.
