Dutch developer continues open-source work on self-hosted websites
Original: Vandaag weer verder werken aan # opensource en eentje die dicht bij mij ligt: meer mensen de mogelijkheid geven om zelf
A Dutch developer is continuing work on an open-source project aimed at making it easier for more people to run their own blog, website or personal knowledge base from home. They note that WordPress is not simple to run on your own system, while static site tools like Hugo and Zola can be a hurdle for many users, and say the project is personally close to their heart.
Why now: The developer is sharing ongoing work on accessibility in self-hosting, a topic that resonates with the open-source and self-hosting communities.
