A German grassroots balcony solar initiative is inviting people to join a project tracking the utilisation of local electricity grids. Participants can set it up within minutes, and organisers say the collective effort will create more transparency for the energy transition in Germany, with a joking reference to the gas industry finding out. The call has drawn modest engagement so far.
Why now: Interest in citizen-led energy transition projects and grid transparency in Germany is high right now.
