Lifetime Swaps Thrillers for Drama in New Hospital Film
Original: TV MOVIE REVIEW: "SECRETS OF MERCY HOSPITAL" - LIFETIME Lifetime ditches crime and thrills for a ‘women’s picture’ drama
Lifetime has aired a new TV movie, "Secrets of Mercy Hospital," which critics note marks a departure from the network's usual crime and thriller fare in favor of a classic 'women's picture' drama. A review by the Hotchka site highlights the shift, describing the film as a character-driven hospital drama rather than the suspense-heavy programming Lifetime is typically known for, drawing interest from TV drama fans.
Why now: Lifetime is known for crime thrillers, so a deliberate shift to a traditional women's drama is drawing reviewer attention.
