Phantom Blade Zero reviews hail a surprise game of the year contender

Original: phantom blade zero

Phantom Blade Zero, the kungfu action game from S-GAME, is drawing strong early reviews, with critics calling its combat exceptional and touting it as a surprise game of the year contender. Polygon says it has outscored every other soulslike of 2026, while GameSpot argues the fighting is so good players will forgive its confusing story.

Why now: Review embargo lifted and the game is landing unusually high scores, making it a hot topic among gamers.
