Original: bolsonaro lula
Brazilian fact-checking agency Checamos, with AFP, has debunked a false claim circulating online that Lula won the presidential vote among voters in Japan. The verification states Flávio Bolsonaro took 80% of votes cast in that country in the second round, confirming the rumour is untrue. The claim is part of ongoing disputes over overseas election results between supporters of Lula and Jair Bolsonaro.
Why now: False viral claims about overseas voting results in the Bolsonaro-Lula runoff are being actively debunked.
