Serbia's incoming government has been told the 'door to EU is open' following president Aleksandar Vučić conceding defeat in the country's election. The Student List movement is projected to win 141 seats in the new parliament, comfortably above the 126 needed for a majority, prompting European officials to signal that Serbia's EU accession path remains available under the new leadership.

Why now: Vučić's concession and a surprise opposition majority mark a major political shift in Serbia with implications for its EU accession talks.
