Krasner and Pollock Exhibition Sets New Attendance Record
Original: A Knockout Show Resets the Record With ‘Krasner and Pollock’
A new exhibition pairing the work of Lee Krasner and Jackson Pollock is being hailed as a knockout and has set a record, according to The New York Times. The show brings together the two painters, who were married, prompting renewed attention to Krasner's standing alongside her more famous husband and fresh debate over how their legacies are framed.
Why now: The record-setting show is drawing attention for pairing two major Abstract Expressionist painters and reassessing Krasner's place next to Pollock.
