A meme urging people to 'be nice to your brother' is circulating among free-software enthusiasts, playing on the contrast between Linux's Tux mascot and Google's ChromeOS on Chromebooks. The joke frames installing Linux as an act of digital freedom and better security, tapping ongoing debates about proprietary operating systems, user control and switching Chromebooks to open-source alternatives.
