Stevens dodges questions on whether she supports El-Sayed

Michigan congresswoman Haley Stevens repeatedly declined to say whether she supports Abdel El-Sayed, a fellow Democrat, in a CNN appearance. Her refusal to answer drew attention as a sign of tension within Michigan's Democratic Party, where rival factions and contested primaries have left prominent figures reluctant to endorse one another ahead of upcoming elections.

Why now: Her public reluctance to back a fellow Democrat fuels speculation about rifts inside Michigan's Democratic Party.
