Israel has expelled thousands of Palestinians from Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to reporting carried by Al Jazeera's newsfeed. The expulsions mark one of the largest displacement operations in the city in recent memory. Details about how the operation was carried out and who was affected remain limited, and Israeli officials have not been quoted in the available reporting.
Why now: Large-scale expulsions in a major West Bank city would be a major escalation drawing international attention
