A speaker is inviting people to join a talk at FOSDEM 27, the free and open source software developers' meeting in Brussels, arguing that a censored internet should not be accepted as normal. The message frames censorship and filtering of the web as a growing threat and calls on technologists and users to push back through open, uncensored network infrastructure.
Why now: Concerns over internet censorship and filtering are resurfacing, drawing attention ahead of the FOSDEM conference.
