Writer swears off syncing entire desktop with OneDrive
Original: I’ll never sync my entire desktop with OneDrive again — here’s the setup I use now
A MakeUseOf writer says they will never sync their entire desktop with Microsoft OneDrive again, and describes the alternative folder setup they now use instead. The piece reflects a common complaint that full-desktop syncing causes clutter, unwanted uploads and storage surprises, and offers a more selective approach to backing up files in the cloud.
Why now: Cloud backup habits are a recurring pain point for Windows users dealing with OneDrive's default syncing behaviour.
