Baylor has dismissed head football coach Dave Aranda, a day after the Bears lost to Kansas. The decision ends Aranda's tenure in Waco, which had faced growing criticism amid disappointing results, and the defeat to Kansas appears to have prompted the move. Baylor now begins the search for its next head coach.
Why now: A high-profile Power Five coaching dismissal right after a notable loss is major college football news.
