NASA Pushes Artemis III Docking Test to 2027
Original: NASA Moves Artemis III Docking Test to 2027
NASA has delayed the docking test tied to its Artemis III crewed lunar mission to 2027, pushing back a key milestone in the program meant to return astronauts to the Moon. The slip adds to a series of schedule changes for Artemis, which has already faced delays to its lander and spacesuit development. Space watchers are weighing what the new date means for the broader timeline of America's lunar landing plans.
Why now: Any schedule change to NASA's flagship Artemis moon program draws attention given its history of delays and high stakes for lunar exploration.
