BBC accused of mischaracterising protests as peaceful
Original: @BBC Peaceful Protests My Ass @BBCBreaking @BBCNews @BBCPolitics @BBCr4today @BBCPolitics @bbcpress @BBCPanorama @bbcque
A social media user is publicly accusing the BBC of misrepresenting protests, tagging the broadcaster's news and politics accounts along with Ofcom, several journalists and Liberal Democrat figures. The post carries no supporting detail about which protests or events it refers to, so the specific incident behind the criticism is not yet clear. No evidence of wider reaction has emerged.
Why now: The BBC's protest coverage is a recurring flashpoint, so criticism of its framing draws attention
