Bristol has become the latest UK council to ban advertising for fossil fuel companies, SUVs and ultra-fast fashion. More than 20 councils, including Sheffield, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Portsmouth, have already introduced similar curbs on ads for climate-harming products. The campaign group Badverts is tracking the spread of the policy, which supporters say limits promotion of polluting industries in public spaces.
