2026 R-Rated Horror Film Pulled From Over 1,000 Theaters
Original: 2026’s New R-Rated Horror Movie Officially Removed From Over 1,000 Theaters
A new R-rated horror movie slated for 2026 has been officially removed from more than 1,000 theaters, according to Collider. The report does not specify a reason, and neither the studio nor exhibitors have commented publicly on the scale or cause of the withdrawal. The move raises questions about the film's release strategy and commercial prospects heading into next year.
Why now: A mass theatrical withdrawal just ahead of release is unusual and suggests trouble with the film's rollout.
