Dad builds open-source audiobook player for his kids

Original: Das Sonntagsprojekt: Ein Mini-Player für Hörbücher für die Kinder. Der „Chapter“ Player basiert auf einem Raspberry Pi Z

A hobbyist has presented his weekend project on a German-language forum: the "Chapter" player, a mini audiobook device for his children built on a Raspberry Pi Zero W. The player connects to a self-hosted Audiobookshelf server and gives the kids an age-appropriate way to choose their own audiobooks. The entire project is released as open source, and the builder says he learned something at every step.

Why now: DIY Raspberry Pi projects with practical family use and full open-source documentation draw strong interest from the maker and self-hosting communities.
