Elon Musk Documentary Pulled from Nearly All Theaters After One Week
Original: "Musk" Documentary Pulled from Almost Every One of 472 Theaters After One Week
A documentary about Elon Musk has been pulled from almost all of the 472 theaters showing it after just one week in release. The film's distributor, Bleecker Street Films, which was recently sold, is reported to have made the decision. The move is drawing attention because of the film's controversial subject matter and its abrupt withdrawal so soon after opening.
Why now: The rapid, near-total theatrical withdrawal of a documentary about one of the world's most talked-about figures raises questions about censorship and business pressures.
