Original: time change
Clocks are set to fall back across much of Canada and the United States, renewing debate over whether daylight saving time should be made permanent. In Manitoba, business groups warn that switching to permanent daylight time could create technical problems, while commentators argue year-round daylight time has drawbacks that need planning. Michigan outlets are reminding residents to adjust their clocks.
Why now: The biannual clock change is approaching, sparking renewed debate about ending the twice-yearly time switch.
