Israeli forces have forcibly evicted hundreds of Palestinian families from their homes in Hebron, in the occupied West Bank, following a deadly shooting in the area. The evictions, described in reports as a collective response to the attack, have drawn criticism and sparked debate online over the treatment of Palestinian residents and the use of punitive home removals.
Why now: The mass evictions are seen as a dramatic escalation in the aftermath of a deadly shooting, drawing strong reactions over collective punishment.
