New York Knicks owner James Dolan is drawing criticism after reports of a phishing email sent to team employees, with commentators arguing the episode distracts from the team's strong play. Writing in The Athletic, critics say Dolan needs to step back and let the Knicks' success speak for itself, noting that as owner of Madison Square Garden, accountability ultimately rests with him regardless of what he knew about the email incident.

Why now: The Knicks are performing well and Dolan's reported phishing email to employees has reignited criticism of the owner at a bad moment.
