A large protest took place in Paris, with participants describing crowds of a scale they say they have never seen before. Posts from the scene emphasise the sheer size of the turnout, with hashtags referencing October 17 and October 24 protest dates in France. Further demonstrations are planned, and the mobilisation is drawing wide attention and astonishment online.
Why now: People are reacting to the unusually huge scale of the Paris protest and the announced follow-up demonstrations.
