Original: Drones Launched A Massive Attack On Togliatti In Russia: An Emergency Evacuation Has Begun https:// charter97.org/en/new
Drones launched a large-scale attack on Togliatti, an industrial city in western Russia, prompting the start of an emergency evacuation, according to a report by the exiled Belarusian outlet Charter97. The city hosts major chemical facilities, and the report mentions a chemical plant in connection with the strike. Details on casualties or damage are not yet confirmed, but the attack is drawing wide attention amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
Why now: Reports of drone strikes deep inside Russia's industrial heartland, with an evacuation underway, are rare and escalate the war's reach.
