Police fire stun grenades at protesters in Pau, France

Original: France Now It’s started again, not in Paris, Marseille, Toulouse or Lyon but the historic quaint City of Pau - as Police

French police have again clashed with protesters, this time in the historic city of Pau in the south-west of the country, reportedly using stun grenades during unrest. Commenters online are highlighting that the violence broke out in a smaller city rather than major urban centres like Paris, Marseille, Toulouse or Lyon, with reactions ranging from alarm about rising unrest to criticism of how the situation is being framed.

Why now: Unrest spreading to a usually quiet provincial city reinforces concerns that protests across France are escalating again.
