The Moldovan and Romanian outlet Aparatorul argues parents should keep children away from Halloween, calling it a 'demon mask' on childhood and listing seven reasons to reject it. The piece urges families to choose traditional alternatives with positive values, citing folk gatherings and commemorations of the dead instead of costume parties and trick-or-treating.
Why now: Halloween is approaching and the article taps into ongoing cultural and religious debates in Romania and Moldova over whether children should take part in the holiday.
