Fifty Years On, Classic War Series Still Unmatched on TV

Original: 50 Years Later, the Best War Series of All Time Is Still Unlike Anything Else on TV

Polygon argues that 50 years after its debut, M*A*S*H remains the best war series ever made and unlike anything else on television. The piece reflects on the show's blend of comedy and tragedy set during the Korean War, and suggests its mix of humour, mortality and social commentary still stands apart from modern prestige dramas.

Why now: An anniversary milestone is prompting retrospective coverage of a beloved television classic.
